Security Analyst

Our clients take Security very seriously. As a Security Analyst at Mincom you will be helping us build our Security team to the next level. Your role will be to ensure legislative and contractual compliance in our customers as well as helping us build our Security team get to the next level by helping us roll out the next generation of security tools.
The Security Analyst will work with MMS Clients in mapping Client Security Requirements and will have input to physical security design. You will be expected to review and adapt procedures to deliver our security service to meet MMSs contractual obligations. You will work with our technical teams to coordinate the security related activities of team members to provide the overall security service to MMS clients.

You will be a key contributor in the implementation of the next generation security tools and appliances across our client base globally.
Your knowledge of Disaster Recovery planning is also important, the Security Analyst will be responsible for planning Disaster Recovery and for coordinating Disaster Recovery testing for designated clients.
Security and DR are a 24 hour service so you will be expected to participate in the After Hours Escalation roster, for escalation of Security related issues by the MMS Service Centre so as to enable delivery of service to meet defined SLA to clients outside normal working hours.

To be the successful candidate for this position, the following skills are desirable:

Excellent interpersonal and client interaction skills with well developed presentations skills, highly articulate with the ability to present complex technical material in a manner that is easy for the lay person to understand
Industry certifications related to Security, Disaster Recovery and Overall Network Communications
Sound knowledge of the industry standards and legalities of data and physical security systems.
Broad knowledge of the range of information systems operating systems, database and network applications software used.
Formal training in Information Technology, eg. IT Degree / Diploma.
Very high understanding of Enterprise Network Management and Reporting tools.
Good understanding of Enterprise Applications Architecture and Distributed Applications Architecture.
Thorough understanding of Internet Security and Web Application Delivery.
5-15 years experience in the role across range of environments and with large systems.
Highly skilled in the delivery of Security Services.
Good problem solving skills to solve most complex problems.
