Software Engineer Mincom Axis
Are you looking for a change? We are seeking a fresh & experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic Mincom Axis team in the Support environment!
For more than 25 years, Mincom has been providing world-class enterprise resource planning and asset management software solutions to organisations that manage and operate complex capital infrastructure.
The Support Engineer is responsible for the resolution of issues related to the Mincom Axis Service and associated infrastructure. Mincom Axis Support Engineers are tasked with providing basic services in relation to managing, operating and supporting the Mincom Axis Service.
Specifically, the Support Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:
- Customer support and liaison
- Problem analysis and resolution
- Resolve client issues\queries in accordance with contracted SLAs.
- Maintenance of Axis software for Hosted Environments
- Daily monitoring of the Axis Production environment & administration of servers
- Programming and testing of software components to resolve Production issues
- Assist with programming for development projects on an as required basis
- Development and maintenance of user documentation
- Recommendations for corrective action to the relevant Mincom methodologies
To be the successful candidate for this position, the following skills & experience are desirable:
- Degree graduate and/or 1 + years IT experience including professional programming.
- Sound understanding of XML, or Java
- J2EE Java Based Web Development
- IBM DB2 (SQL)
- Internet Transfer Protocols (e.g. FTP, HTTP, SMTP)
- Microsoft Windows environment
- Some exposure to SCM tools & processes and any other Software Development tools
