Mincom and the Community
In August 2000, Mincom announced that it had chosen the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland, Australia as its nominated charity and was providing support worth A$1.5 million.
Mincom is providing the Leukaemia Foundation with office space in Mincom Central until 2010. The contribution marked the beginning of a long-term partnership with the Foundation to assist the lives of patients and families facing the challenges of a leukaemia diagnosis. Since that 2000, Mincom staff have assisted in various fund raising efforts which have resulted in over $100,000 being made available for maintenance of Mincom Village - a residential complex managed by the Leukaemia Foundation for families of in-patients attending hospital for treatment.
Mincom's North American office supports regional charitable organizations through its Charitable Contribution Committee. Established in October 2003, the committee concentrates its efforts on helping local organisations throughout the United States and Canada - the communities where our North American staff work and live.
